"Absolutely beautiful. The hotel is lovely and situated on beautiful grounds. If you enjoy golf, they have a course right near the hotel. The high tea service is amazing and comes highly recommended. There are boat tours offered nearby so you can get acquainted with the lake and learn some of the castle's history. Highly recommend a visit, though if you just wish to walk the grounds, be prepared to pay a fee. This isn't applicable if you are staying at the hotel or have booked an appointment for tea, obviously."
"This was a splurge on our anniversary trip and I am SO glad we did it. The grounds and castle are just beautiful. It is rich with history and glamour. The rooms and so cozy. This is grown up Disneyland! Every part of the stay makes you feel like royalty"
"Beautiful hotel and amazing customer service! The lobby is my favourite part of the hotel they have beautiful flowers at the front with amazing park view. All employees working here are super hard working and always help when needed."
"My husband and I had the most perfect two night stay at Ashford Castle. The castle and grounds are stunning and like out of a historic fairytale. Our room overlooking the lake was so beautiful and comfortable. My husband wasn’t sure if the room would be too “old-fashioned” but it was decorated tastefully in a classy way and we both loved it. There was the cinema right across from our room which was lovely to have, and amazingly enough even with its doors open we didn’t hear a sound coming from it which meant the room was well insulated. The pool was also a perfect touch to our relaxing few days. All the staff, in every area, were so warm and kind going above and beyond to ensure we were taken care of. They made our stay all the more memorable and we can’t wait to return!"
"Stayed in the castle at the weekend with the wife, really disappointed in the food both in the dungeon and the George V dining. Felt as if castle staff was only interested in the wedding groups. Trying have a conversation with wife or waitress and bagpiper playing on and on in such confined space was unpleasant, stayed in the lodge in the summer definitely a much better experience. The room in the castle was lovely, the room staff was amazing. The spa was nearly impossible to get a reservation although we got one on the day we where leaving just a check out time, although spa seemed empty when we where there."
