Irish Cancer Society 22 Mary Street, Clonmel, County Tipperary
About the Business
Welcome to the Irish Cancer Society! Located at Clonmel, Mary Street, 22, our institution is a vital establishment and point of interest for those affected by cancer in Ireland. We are not just a store, but a dedicated organization that offers a range of essential services and support to cancer patients and their loved ones.
At the Irish Cancer Society, we strive to provide comprehensive assistance to individuals facing a cancer diagnosis. Our knowledgeable cancer nurses are available to speak with you in your own language through our telephone interpreter service. This ensures that language barriers do not hinder access to important information about symptoms, diagnosis, and treatment for different types of cancer.
We are proud to have an incredible network of volunteers who play a crucial role in our mission. Whether you can spare a few hours or days, your time and dedication truly make a difference. Join our volunteer program and become part of a compassionate community that is committed to supporting cancer patients across Ireland.
As a non-profit organization, we rely on donations to continue providing free supports and services. Your contribution enables us to offer essential resources, emotional support, and practical assistance to those affected by cancer. Every donation, no matter the size, helps us make a positive impact on the lives of cancer patients and their families.
Caring for someone with cancer can be challenging, both emotionally and physically. We understand the importance of self-care and offer advice on how to take care of yourself while supporting a loved one through their cancer journey. Additionally, we provide valuable resources and support for carers, ensuring they have the necessary tools and assistance to navigate their role effectively.
In our commitment to supporting women with cancer, the Irish Cancer Society has launched the Leave Our Leave campaign. This initiative allows women to defer their maternity leave following a cancer diagnosis, ensuring they have the time and support they need during this challenging period.
At the Irish Cancer Society, we are dedicated to improving the lives of cancer patients and their loved ones. Explore our website for further information, book a video call with us, or reach out to our Support Line via email at supportline@irishcancer.ie. Together, we can make a difference in the fight against cancer.

"Delighted to see such a professional, customer service oriented assistant manager there at the moment. Always a delight to deal with, understands the charity sector, great at her job and pleasant to deal with"
"Made a purchase on Saturday afternoon April 21..put a folded β¬50 on the counter..purchase bagged up , till opened, I didn't see money going into the till just the till being closed. I said to the girl "I gave you a fifty. She said "no, you gave me a ten"..I was adamant that I gave her a fifty, she opened the till and rifled through the notes and said "see, I have no fifties". I did not see her put any money in the till. I only keep fifty euro notes in my wallet, the small notes in my pocket and they get crumpled. I left, went to another shop, made a purchase with another fifty, and I knew I gave OR LA a fifty..I went back there and again stated I gave you a fifty. . She obviously pocketed the fifty which is why there was no fifty euro note in the till. She still kept saying I only gave her fifty. Thanks Cancer Society, you might want to vet your employees. .I have an American accent, but that doesn't make me stupid."
