"20 minutes free. We stayed for another 4 minutes and got charged 4.50 euros. There is no pricing listed anywhere in the car park."
"We were in car park at Rock of Cashel last Wednesday 21st Sept. We parked for two hours and I went to the machine to pay. I put in the charge (4.50) in coins and got my ticket returned. Checked out right away but the machine at the gate would not open. The machine said that the ticket wasn't paid. We rang the 'help' button and explained to the 'voice' what had happened. He was extremely rude and told us the machine was working perfectly and we should go and pay. Unfortunately he would not help and I had to go to the machine and pay another β¬4.50 to get out. This left a very sour taste on us as we also have a disabled permit and should not have had to pay for ordinary parking. If this happens regularly, no wonder we have the name of the 'rip off Irish. I don't know who runs these parks but a few manners wouldn't go amiss with the person at the end of the intercom. The feeling was that he thought we were trying to work a 'quick one. Can I also say that we are OAP's were not interested in conning the system. But it was the dearest 2 hour parking I ever had to pay."
"Price are not clearly shown. So we stayed like 20/30 minutes beyond the first free 20 min of parking and we were charged of 4.5 euros. If you also consider the tickets for the Rock, it is way too much."
"A most scenic spot the car park. Great views of the Rock from here, you can see why it remained a well-defended spot for so many centuries."
"No proper display of the route to car park. Unmanned expensive limited parking. Hardly a few spots to park. Not worth the visit one bit. Just a bunch of ruins like the ones you have all over Ireland.Skip if it's in the itinerary. Wasted time just trying to find the extrance to the place. Confusing no entry entrance on google maps. Park at rock house restaurant for good food and walk to the rock of cashel instead if adamant to visit."
