"This practice has been looking after me, from time to time, for a long time. It's two regular GP'S. and their Practice Nurse are excellent. Sadly this has not been my experiance, especially in the last three months, why? Because in July 2020 I was very unwell one night & had to call for emergeny medical help. This arrived & within a few minutes ut was agreed that I was very unwell & was taken to university hospital in Limerick. After some days of extentsive tests, scans, bloods, etc, it was determined I was suffering with severe painsi caused by Fibre Myalgia. Then my consult came to my bedside & introduced me to a professor who told me that he could give me a treatment that was very successful! I was so pleased, I agreed to let him treat me. After a few moments he injected me with a drug into my neck, as he so, it was explained that I'd feel some pressure & may feel very cold? The next day I was not feeling great but knew that this pain ' blocker ' had a good chance of acting like a process that would interupt the pain signals & I'd be ok. Sadly all it did initially was give me horriffic side - effects & cause me huge upset, confusion & distress. After 4 & 5 days trying to cope with shocking treatment I beggged them to give me something to counteract this. But they said that there was nothing that could be done & to give it time to work! Since mid july Suffered horriffic anxicity & my gp & occassionally his relief gp have refused to help me other than to tell me to go onto You Tube & watch Harry Barry & use his tips & advice on how to deal with...cope with it. Sadly this did nothing for me & despite my massive continuing distress my gp still insisted that I get a grip, man up, & get on with it! Sorry. I cannot continue writing this as I am feeling massively upset & shockingly distressed."
