"I had to find a third space in or around Goresbridge and found the Goodly Barrow. An absolute diamond in the rough. I needed to work and host meetings throughout a day. The staff couldn’t have been friendlier or more helpful. My day working there was fantastic. Staff checked in on me through the day, their food was great, coffee good and plentiful and the location is idyllic. If you are anywhere near the Goodly Barrow then divert there, have a drink and a bite and a stroll along the river. And it has a wonderful and well detailed history of the location and the area too."

"Gorgeous food, great museum, lovely old building on the banks of the Barrow. A lovely relaxed place to enjoy great food, overlooking the river. Very interesting insights into the lives of the people who lived and worked on this important old transport route. Great walks along the river bank in both directions from Goodly Barrow - build up an appetite and then indulge yourself!"

"Such a thoughtful and sympathetic restoration and re purposing of a beautiful building that has been idle for years. The historical display on the internal walls is a real insight into what life was like on the Barrow navigation in times past. The detailed descriptions are an intimate insight into commercial barge travel and traffic over a 150 to 200yr time span - a way of life long since gone. There is so much to see and read as you cast your eyes around what is on display. There is a fascinating display of artifacts, pictures, diaries, manuals, tools and some brilliant audio-visual interviews with people whose working lives were connected with the beautiful Barrow waterway. The food on offer is of the highest quality. We enjoyed delicious home made soups and sandwiches and excellent coffees and sweet treats as we sat on the covered balcony and watched the Barrow world paddle by. So, if your on a canoe or kayak, cycling, walking or boating or just passing through this is a must do stop off in peaceful and picture perfect Goresbridge.
