"Very bad service in Homebase Portlaoise. I wanted to buy carpet tiles and some other items. Asked if they could deliver. Only to be told that if I was buying a large amount of items. Then was told that I would cost €45 for delivery. Not one bit helpful. Customer Service my arse. Won't be shopping there again that's for sure"

"So have to admit I usually like homebase . They can do some really good offers in store. But sometimes the can fall short. I purchased an item 7 weeks ago that was on offer And the had none left in stock when I inquired . I was told they could order one in for me and I'd have it in 3 weeks. Well 7 weeks later I'm still waiting and I have called a few times and nobody can tell me when it will be in. And only I have chased them up on it I wouldn't have heard anything from them. So let's say I'm still waiting and I'm about to call them again for the 5th time . Let's hope someone can tell me what is going on. So a quick update on the situation. I got a call from a lovely lady in homebase in portlaois about my order. And turns out the item is no longer available due to stock not available in the UK. The lady could not apologise enough for the mishap and have to wait so long. She offered me a full refund or if I'd like the store display model. I was happy the take the display model and as a good will gesture she also gave me a 20% discount. So everyone was happy all round. And thanks to the lovely lady who sorted everything out I appreciate it."
