Reviews of Éan
"Go for the pastries alone! We had just missed the brunch menu but I'm glad we did as it meant we got to try the gorgeous pastries instead. The morning bun was unbelievable! They're quite large too so perfect for a light breakfast. Coffee was very good also! Lovely little building as well! It was queued out the door for takeaways and I'm not surprised- a little gem!"
"Had a lovely meal here. Great selection of dishes and wine, and the service was really knowledgeable. The squid toast was my highlight! Good value all in all, I suggest ordering a few dishes and see how you feel, you can always order more afterwards!"
"We’d rate the restaurant 2.5/5 stars, with the 4 of us we booked for dinner here. - price/quality: bad. The food did taste good, however the price was definitely not fairly priced. Paying €39 per main, and receiving such a small portion? The quantity and quality did not match. Even if the food tasted good, this was not worth the €€€. - wine: the wine options on the menu were not the same as advertised online. We had done some research before choosing a restaurant in Galway, and decided that the wine options of this restaurant looked good and value for money (expecting around €35 per bottle). Upon arriving, we ordered 3 bottles (which were not the same as advertised) all of them were not up to par (€45+ per bottle) - service: on multiple occasions, we requested wine, water, dishes or even the bill, they forgot 3+ times and we had to ask again, this speaks volume about the service you can expect here. All in all, if you don’t mind paying a premium for good tasting food, and you are not a wine aficionado like me, and don’t mind service too much, then this restaurant can still be a good choice for the food and vibes. Personally, I would not choose not to go here again due to low price/quality vs expectations, the wine options and service you can expect here."
"Best food I've had in awhile! Four of us came for dinner, we got one of everything and shared it all. The squid toast was so good we ordered a second portion. And we couldn't get over the romesco sauce with the vegetarian sharing plate. Basically everything was ridiculously delicious. Great selection of wine also. Highly recommend to anyone in Galway."
"Éan offer a relaxed dining experience with a unique menu. The menu is always simple with a limited selection but you will still struggle choosing what to order. In addition to the dishes on the menu they have a great selection of pastries at the counter. Will definitely be back!"
