"We went here for breakfast, I ordered a half breakfast €10 (added chips for €1 perfectly reasonable). My husband ordered an omelette €11.50, he wanted chips with the omelette, and asked for 2 sausages on the side. When we went to pay the bill was €31.50!! Not worth it at all for what we got. Charged €20.50 for an omelette, a few chips on the side and 2 sausages. I understand that there should be extra charges, but it should have been €1 extra for the chips (same as it is for every other breakfast on the menu) and €1-€1.50 for each sausage. The few measly chips and 2 sausages cost €9.... That's more the a kids meal! The Galway plate used to be a brilliant restaurant, but that was a ridiculous price to be charged for a basic breakfast. When I asked the waitress why they added on so much she said she changed me for a mini breakfast on top of the omelette. Maybe look into how ye are charging people, I understand that there had to be extra charges, but that just seems ridiculous. I won't be back in a hurry. Very disappointed."
"No all day breakfast so had to get mixed grill for an extra €6 with all the same ingredients and did not eat the added steak. Do not put it on your menu if you don't want to make it! Running out I understand but the mixed grill has all the same stuff."
"Went to the Galway plate recently and this was what I was served , breakfast items must have been sitting there since they were cooked as breakfast was dry and look at the state of the bacon , somebody in the kitchen served this up and a waitress brought this out so that was 2 people who seen this and thought it was acceptable. Never again will I use this restaurant as there’s plenty better places to choose from . This used to be a great place to eat in whilst heading in or out of Galway and think the change of management has done this place no favors at all . Retraining of waiting staff also leaves a lot to be desired as not one of them asked if everything was ok as I’m sure they knew better not to ask . I can only offer 1 / 10 and that’s being generous"
