Reviews of Wild Honey Inn
"Great location, beautiful building, wonderful hosts and amazing food. Will definitely stay here anytime!"
"We had a truly fantastic time at this family run hotel, we booked in only because it had a star. The restaurant serves a 3 course dinner, which, to be honest, was a small let down because normal a Michelin restaurant would generally serve many more courses than just 3. However, the 3 courses were outstanding. The wine selection is quite large and very reasonably priced. Their son served us, who was in his very early 20s, knew everything about every single bottle on the menu which was extremely impressive.. he even recommended us an outstanding dessert wine. We've eaten in almost all of the stared restaurants in Ireland, and this quite small pub is up there amongst our favourites. We will be returning at some stage in the very near future."
"This is an amazing location, we went here due to its reputation as a great food place, but it's more than that, it's full of very friendly staff, comfy rooms and it's location is close to tons of places. Top place for a break, will be back."
"The hotel room was spotless. I do suggest getting a deluxe room. Rarely have I seen such level of care, not a spot of dust at all. The room decor is tasteful and understated. Beds are extremely comfortable. The area is quiet so excellent sleep was had. Breakfast was good, there is a selection to most tastes. Food is of a high quality and well presented. Dinner is excellent. It deserves it's michelin star. It's hard to do justice to the meals here but the quality of the produce and skill of the chef shine. The wine selection has a dept to suit most tastes and pockets. The steak was perfect. Deserts were delightful (loved the honeycomb). We will be back."
"My husband and I treated ourselves to two nights in the Wild Honey Inn this week. It was a long awaited trip for us, and it certainly lived up to our expectations. We received a warm welcome from the lady of the house. We were shown our room which had access to the beautiful gardens. We had dinner on our second night. We both had the crab cocktail to start which looked like a work of art, such a delicate and subtle taste. For mains my husband had the pork cheeks and I had the turbot, simply divine. For dessert we had a chocolate torte and mousse and a chocolate fondant. What a treat. The service was faultless. We will be back!"
