"My experience with Bridget has been truly amazing. I came to Bridget at a time in my life when I knew I could not keep going as I was. I had an inner knowing that I was not happy, however, I kept trying to push my feelings down and 'get on with things'! Until one day this was not working anymore. I meet with Bridget and presented with high anxiety and overwhelm. I knew from our first session that I would be safe with her and this made me want to keep coming back. Her presence, understanding and wisdom is beyond words. I felt heard and for the first time in my life not 'judged'. During our time together I was diagnosed with a brain tumor and had to have two very long brain surgeries followed by six weeks of radiation. The overwhelm I felt after this was unbearable. It knocked me completely. I am a young mother of three and was used to working full time and always being busy. This new life to me threw me into a very dark place. When I eventually had enough energy I wanted to get back to Bridget straight away. She explained to me that I was feeling the huge anxiety and lowness due to trauma! This was very new to me and the physical and emotional pain I was going through was terrible. Bridget helped me to become aware of my body and very slowly and gently bring me back to a place of calm. I would of course get triggered in between our sessions, but every time I saw Bridget she would work with my thinking and the body and bring my nervous system right back to a place of stillness. I felt very safe and held and I was never brought back to the trauma or re-traumatized. Learning about the mind/body connection has been amazing and I now feel that even though I can get triggered, I now have the coping skills to deal with it. I have more confidence, my self esteem has come back and I now feel joy in my life again. So much so that I began back to education and have now completed a three year college degree and am returning to work. I am so grateful to Bridget and the wonderful person she is and I thank her for sharing her gifts and kindness with me. I cant imagine what my life would have been like if I had not had the support, compassion, kindness and excellent training from Bridget, from what was a very traumatic time in my life. I cant recommend Bridget enough, she is my earth angel for sure! K."
