"I find Muskerry vets to be helpful and accommodating. The ladies answering the phone are good to deal with and will try their best to fit me in even at short notice. Eoin is a kind vet and I was happy with the care given to my pet."

"I've had Muskerry Veterinary Clinic look after all our animals - both on the farm and our pets - for many years. They have always been friendly, efficient and professional and I have nothing but praise for everyone, from Claire and Margaret to Eoin and all the vets. Thanks for an excellent service!"

"Received disgraceful behaviour from an employee called Claire today. She sounds like an older lady and really should know better. I am new to Macroom and own a 6 yr old Shih Tzu's that I have had since a puppy. He suffers reoccurring stomach upsets. My usual vet is in Blackrock where I used to live and the advise they always give me is to restrict his diet to plain food and see if he recovers in 24 hours and he did. Only this time 48 hours after recovering from his upset tummy he started to vomit up bits of blood. I rang the first number on Google for vets in Macroom. What a big mistake. It was nearly 5pm when I called and Claire answered with a cough. She reluctantly said that 5:30 could be available to bring my pet in. I told her I do have covid and my housemate will bring him in and she said okay. I went to check with my housemate if that was okay with her and when I came back to the phone I was told that she now could no longer take my dog cos I have covid and there were people in the vets waiting room who it could spread too. Im nearly 99 percent sure dogs don't spread covid but anyway I said to her that he needs urgent care and I could spray him down if needed. I repeated that my housemate will bring him in She said absolutely not and that it was my own fault for neglecting my pet and to take him back to his original vets she said aggressively while coughing. I knew I was wasting preious time while my pet needed urgent care so I hung up and called Coolcower vets. Thank the stars they were such pros. They told me to get my housemate to bring him in immediately and they would take extra covid precautions with him as he needed to be seen to straight away. It took Coolcower less than 30 mins to diagnose his tummy upset and give him meds to stop the vomitting and he is back on the mend again. As for Muskerry Vets I do wonder if the real problem was that they close at 6pm and do not want the hassel of a new client so close to closing time. Otherwise I cannot understand why a clinic which such concern for covid would let a staff member with such a bad cough (and bad attitude) stay at work."
