Absolutely appalling so-called professional lawyer, the way he spoke to my mother over email was quite simply astonishing, there are usually two sides to a story but sadly in this case there are not. My mother had recently gone through the legal proceedings for the purchase of a property with a fabulous lawyer , who was at the time practising for Diarmaid O'Cathain (recently moved across to public sector), unfortunately the vendor withdrew. My mother is now purchasing another property and Diarmuid O'Cathain has since merged with Ronan Enright, so she contacted them, assuming that her file would have carried over which it had not, she had no problem with this and advised them that in this case she would go with a solicitor in Kerry as it made more sense regarding location etc. She sent Ronan a very polite email to confirm that for the avoidance of doubt, she was withdrawing any instruction to act on her behalf so as to not cross any wires as they had apparently started to open a file for her regarding the initial email she had sent them. Ronan's response word for word was: 'Thank you Trish. Ronan Enright here. Please do not instruct this firm again in the future. I will inform Do DIarmaid of my decision.' Not only was his language despicable, and there was absolutely no rhyme or reason to his email, he quite clearly cannot write or spell. I worry for future clients that might be represented by him, and am extremely grateful that we have avoided all future liaisons with him and his so-called firm."
