"This is a lovely little oasis within walking distance of the city centre. It's very well-maintained, is full of roses in the summer, has a playground, a café, a museum, lawns to lounge around on, and a little performance area. Also a tree covered in silver tiles for some reason. Good place to walk a dog. Cork is lucky to have such a nice place."

"We love this park! Live outside of Cork and will sometimes ride in to enjoy it. It is the perfect green space for Cork city. Plenty of flat green area with paved sidewalks to ride bikes or scooters. Nothing too huge in terms of fields for sports but there is enough for a game of frisbee or soccer. There’s a great playground as well as a museum and some statues on premises. I wouldn’t say it is a “must see” of Cork, but if you are in town for a few days, would check it out especially on a nice sunny day."
"Fitzgerald Park is just a short stroll along the on the Mardyke from Cork city centre and the University College Cork. Beautiful park to walk along the River Lee, have a picnic, or just enjoy some time outdoors. its flower gardens are a delight for flower lovers."
"A beautifully kept public park. Neat, tidy and home to Cork public museum. An 18 acre, large city centre attraction, you should definitely pay this park a visit. If you are looking for a peaceful stroll by the river, a wild session in an ultra modern playground, a relaxing picnic or a game of football with the kids, this is the place for you. Gorgeous flowers and trees, very interesting structures and monuments and statues. A seat by the stunning river Lee. A coffee shop and bakery. Need I say any more???"
