"Terrific service by the staff, gave us directions around the park, food was exceptional. Perfect service highly recommended."
"Sent my daughter to get a takeaway coffee for me 15 minutes before closing time, and although the door was open and she could walk in, she was told they were "closed," and she couldn't get coffee. UPDATE: I appreciate the swift response and the offer of a complimentary drink, but unfortunately, we left Killarney this morning, and I couldn't face the downtown traffic just for the sake of a coffee. The lady who was sweeping the floor looked up as my 12 year old stepped in and said "We're closed," at which point my daughter turned around and left. She didn't get a chance to ask for anything or let the staff member know why she was coming in. Given your commitment to trying to make this right, I am willing to delete this review when you have verified that you have seen it, and we will plan on stopping into Mug & Bean the next time we are in Killarney."
"I brought my 2 grandchildren for pancakes. They are fussy about their pancakes!! They said they were the best pancakes they had eating out recently and said they were delicious. It was their first time in this café and they want to go back again. That is a big compliment from them as their Dad makes great pancakes. I had the French toast - tasty. Staff friendly and helpful. Nice atmosphere."
"The staff was lovely. It didn't look like a cafe or restaurant and the table was very very wobbly - impossible to cut your food and not spill the coffees. The smashed avocado on my sandwich was fairly brown but it tasted fine. The sauce with it was nice, and the eggs were poached very well. They didn't have French toast which, I've got to be honest, surprised me since they did have the bread, eggs and milk. The porridge comes with plastic containers of seeds, jam and honey or syrup. My cappuccino was basically coffee with milk, there was no foam, but it tasted fine."
"Yummy and fresh breakfast and good coffee. After a travel of all Ireland and north Ireland it was the 5th favorite coffee. It has a more German polish feel and less Irish. The smashed avocado is super delicious."
