"Avoid this place. I booked in for a pedicure on Friday 28 Oct 22 and it was a disaster. The technician cut my nails down to the quick and very round and then proceeded to cut 3 of my toes with the cuticle cutters. She then started slapping on the polish in what can only be described as her best attempt at emulating a 2 year old’s colouring style. At this point I asked her to removed the polish and let me go as I was in so much distress over the service. I told the receptionist that I wouldn’t be paying and she made an attempt to ring her manager to inform her of this. Her manager did not answer and she rang the owner instead. I had forgotten that I had paid a deposit for this service (€5) and asked for it to be returned on principle. The receptionist said that she didn’t know how to do this as she was new and I said that was fine and asked her to have her manager ring me the following day and I left. The manager (Kelly I believe her name is) rang me on Saturday and opened with something along the lines of “it’s not our policy to return deposits and legally we don’t have to”. She was immediately very defensive and blamed my “not liking the colour” for my walking out which couldn’t be more removed from the truth. She seemed to think that an insincere apology in addition to not charging me for the service but keeping my deposit was adequate customer service. When I told her that I was going to leave a poor review she told to me go right ahead and then invited my to “go to any of the other nail salons in Cork”. This advice I took on board and went to a more professional place where the technician there was aghast at the state of my toes and warned me that due to the way they cut my nails in New York Nails, I was at risk of getting ingrown nails. She tried to fix my toenails as best she could but honestly, she’d so little to work with and did not want to risk aggravating my injuries even more. I’ve waited to post this review until now just in case I developed an infection which luckily I haven’t. And so concludes the worst experience I have ever had in a nail salon. Please do yourself a massive favour and avoid this joke of a place."

"I went this place as I got it recommend but it was a total fiasco. The staff are very unfriendly. I went to get my nails done for a wedding hoping for french in pastel colours but I was told they couldn't change the colour. The woman keep shrugging and had an uninterested actitud. I asked for advice and told me that she could give me any and we went ahead with the French manicure. She was annoyed she had to cut my nails and filled them uneven. She didn't even smooth them. She painting them with bits of nail not fully filed. They look like I have done them myself. Very disappointed."
