"We rented the Lakeside Lookout apartment which is on the same site of the Lake house B&B. This place is self contained with plenty of essentials, kitchen equipment and toiletries. Even a dishwasher and washing machine, which proved very useful being a family of 4! Scenery from the place overlooking the water with fields and hills in the background was amazing. Could sit out there all day watching the swans and ducks on the water. The host Tom was very helpful when asking for help and swift to answer questions. He left us to it too, so was great for privacy. TV doesn't have many channels available so the free WiFi came in useful for us all, especially the kids that's cant do without using a phone for 5 minutes! Luckily the signal was good for that. We found this place relaxing I times when we had explored round the area all day. Visiting the local town of Bantry was nice and we found a Lidl supermarket not far plus a supavalu supermarket by the harbour. Few restaurants, pubs and other shops available. Within an hours drive we got to see some amazing scenery around the peninsulas and into Cork City. There is a park n ride there. For €5 you get all day parking, free bus into the city and back out to the carpark. All in all a great place off the beaten track for relaxation away from a busy day."
