"Alron The Star, camp site in the Camping and Caravanning Club Site network. Ideally located for Alton Towers theme and water park which is around 2 miles away. The site has hard standing with electric and grass pitches with and without electric. If you don't own you own equipment, fully equipped static caravans and Ready camp tents available to hire. The site has a children's play area and a football field on site. Toilet and shower blocks located around the site (some in need of tlc) but always kept clean and tidy. Very helpful employees all in all a great site, located for all places of interest around the area."
"We use this site when we visit the Alton Towers theme park. The park belongs to the camping and caravanning club. As such the site is very well maintained. This is what I like about the club sites, they all have quality and standards to upkeep. The site has friendly staff, good washing/toilet facilities and a good playpark. The site has multiple choices of accommodation including static caravans, hard standings and grass pitches. Electric hook-up is available."
"Lovely place good amenities would have been 5 stars but there was just a few little things like women's toilets didn't seem to have toilet paper in every cubicle, part of park cornerd off, some drinking water taps out of use and bit of drainage smell. But we really enjoyed our stay and would book again."
"Great camping site. Quite formal (which isn't always a bad thing) but well organised. The low number of male showers was quite annoying (2 vs 6 female), but otherwise great. Good play area for the kids and we close to local amenities"
"Stayed here on a Sunday night and would highly recommend. A very friendly, warm and informative welcome (even at 7pm on a Sunday evening), and spotless facilities; what more do you need! If you're in a camper, worth paying a few extra pounds for a hand standing pitch as a lot of the grass seemed to be sloping. Fab site we'd happily return to or recommend."
