"Reported breakdown at 1215, truck arrived 1300 and looked promising at that point. Downhill from then on, car taken away and driver told us a taxi would be along soon. Nothing turned up and when phoned HQ were told they knew nothing about a taxi and from then on we had to make our own arrangements. We're an elderly couple, it was cold and wet and this company were of no assistance at all."

"Recommended by a member of my family, I used ALPS to deal with a car accident claim for me instead of doing it myself through my own insurance company. My claims manager, Jonathan Copley, handled everything for me. He was very professional, friendly and knowledgeable, and from our first phone call I was confident my claim couldn't be in better hands. He explained the process clearly to me and handled all the negotiations between the 3rd party, who were not being entirely honest with what actually happened to cause the accident, and my insurers, who would have written my pride and joy off. After lengthy negotiations ALPS were able to get a good chunk of my repair costs back. That's a far better result than I would have got had I gone through my insurers myself alone. "I have an ALPS breakdown policy as a staff benefit, I broke down on the M62 during rush hour on my way to a family party. I called the breakdown line and they had someone with me in less than an hour, the chap who came was great, really helpful and could not have been more polite. He had my car fixed at the roadside and had me on my way in 15 minutes. Great service i would highly recommend."

"Apauling experience. Broke down just off M26 at 16.30 on Monday afternoon didn't move for six hours, finally picked up only to be dropped off at Dartford services(wrong direction for home) for 2 hours and then relayed to Fleet services where we sat for another 4 hours before finally getting a lorry to take us to Cornwall. Got home 13.40 Tuesday afternoon,no sleep, very little food and very dissatisfied with lack of communication from you. We would have paid for a hotel for the night if we had been given the option rather than sit on side of a road in the middle of nowhere!"

"ALPs quoted us then withdrew the quote since they made a mistake, which they owned up to, only after they sent through documents. When we complained and asked for compensation they refused, after ignoring an email, even though a read receipt was returned, MD was "in a meeting". It was a very poor experience and their follow was worse. They bang on about staff training but in truth there is little. Buyer beware...very aware. If I could leave zero stars I would. This cost us a lot of effort and money."
