"Previously given a 5 star rating to Kidsgrove Taxi for great service. Although recently I have been really disappointed and annoyed with the shocking service. Used the app to pre book taxis about 2 weeks in advance. When calling to check on the taxi, the woman on the phone was quite rude and unhelpful. Just saying there was nothing in the area and couldn't guarantee any taxi to us or a time. We were told that we should have called and not used the app. Why there is an app if you can't use it is beyond me? I asked surely if I had have phoned to book 2 weeks ago on the phone they would have had to make sure a car was available but she said this wouldn't necessarily be the case. I am glad I hadn't booked for a hospital appointment or to get to an airport etc. Trying to get a refund back from the payments on the app itself was a task as well. It took me a couple of months to get a refund from August (payments taken when the app searches for a car for you rather than charging you once a car is assigned to you) and 5 phonecalls to get a refund for the prebooked taxis that never happened. I'm quite disappointed by recent experiences with Kidsgrove Taxis as we have had brilliant service in the past. I doubt very much we will be using Kidsgrove Taxi again in future."
