"Another brilliant party here. After my mum's 80th last year and now my husbands 50th today. The staff were brilliant, they were just the right amount of helping and leaving us to it. The food was amazing although I wish I had ordered the short rib as I had plate envy. The private dining room is beautiful. We will be back. Thank you."

"Recently had Sunday lunch. The roast beef was very average - a couple of wafer thin slices and very chewy. Portion size was very disappointing with only 2 average tasting roast potatoes. Had to ask for accompanying sauces which took an age turn up - most of us had nearly finished by the time they arrived. The food service in general was very poor and it wasn’t that busy. However, drinks service was good. All in all, a disappointing experience given the lovely decor and setting of the pub."

"Great accommodation. The staff were very hospitable too. We had the Muddy Paws package as we had a dog. This includes 2 cocktails, a dinner allowance, and an extra sausage at breakfast for your dog. Unfortunately my wife had to ask for the breakfast sausage for our dog and ask regarding how the voucher and cocktails were claimed. Very small and not a gripe, maybe it could be explained when people check in. A beautiful venue though and we will definitely be back."

"Pleasant and friendly staff. Old fashioned pub style furnishings. Good range of beers and ciders. Good choices on the menu. Tasty food. Good sized fish in fish and chips and traditional pie for steak and ale pie. Good range of deserts including ice creams. Car park opposite. Adjacent car park has Tesla charging points."
