Reviews
"Fabulous sunday lunch. Lovely staff. Very impressed! Would highly recommend."
"Great town centre location, beautiful building but bit busy for me. Nice looking menu, but didn't eat because of the queue. I'm sure at a less busy time it would have been lovely"
"From the exterior we expected to walk into a traditional public house but was quite disappointed to walk into brightly lit bar with modern interior. The location boasts its 1895 historic connection but I feel this has been lost over time in an attempt to appeal to the modern day "karens" of the community. The draft ales tasted diluted which, for me, wasn't the one."
"Right in town near to princes quay. It's an old pub and a bit tatty but still pretty nice. A nice long bar serving a selection of real ales. We had lunch and surprisingly it was very nice. It is normal pub grub however, I had the beef lasagne which was home made and full of beef and mushrooms. A pile of thick cut chips and side salad. Wife had scamp and said it was nice. This was for an early dinner/late lunch. It was a meal deal of two for 11 odd quid. Dissapointingly though, the garlic bread had been what seemed to be microwaved as it was hot but soggy plus it was a good couple of quid. Next time I'll skip the GB. Overall pretty good but not special and certainly better than a burger or chicken chain."
