Reviews
"Being early season for Boathouse 7 the restaurant has yet to develop the number of guests that give it its atmosphere. The food currently is uninspired but will hopefully improve as the kitchen staff settle in."
"The food was disgusting the fish had a weird texture, the sausage and chips was not too good. Later on that night me and my son was physically feeling sick, my son was not too happy as it ruined the rest of our trip in Portsmouth. The sausage and the chips was also quite cold. On a plus side the old fashion machines were quite nice.3/10 would not recommend."
"A free area of the Dockyard you can visit. Various food options including Pizza, Fish and Chips, Soup, Cakes and High Tea. Large seating area. Old style arcade machines at the back. A lovely eclectic gift shop with a large variety of different gifts available."
"Boathouse 7 contains the main café (overpriced!) and shop - but also the Dockyard Apprentice exhibition, which is easy to miss but really worth a visit. It showcases the various skills involved in building and fitting ships, such as carpentry, mast and sail making, rigging etc., with some fascinating exhibits (including Nelson's prayer - see photo). Highly recommended."
"Lovely relaxed restaurant, plenty of seating. One staff member was rather snotty and abrupt, but all the rest were lovely so guess she was having a bad day. There is a vast array of choice of hot and cold food and drink. We had the most delicious sausage roll, not cheap but get what you pay for which was quality. Nice place."
