"Beautiful new forest trees, lovely collection in the arboretum and epic Douglas Fir and Coast Redwoods to pay your respects to. Easy access and close to ample (when i visited though there was a sign for an overflow area) car park with toilets, picnic tables and lots of trails leading from it."
"This is a lovely place to go if you want a gentle circular, easy walk amongst nature's giants. Stunning. The car park is free (you can text a donation) and there is a toilet block. There was also a bonus ice cream van so take some cash as it doesn't accept cards."
"Park opposite for easy access to the Tall Tree Trail (a 1.5 mile circular walk through the forest) to see the Giant Redwoods, Douglas Firs and various other species. Plenty of benches to rest and admire the view, as well as wooded waymarkers and information posts. At the start of the trail is the Arboretum which is a nice shorter circular walk."
"Great forest with a lot of different walks. Very flat and easy. Manageable by everyone you can make the trek as short or long as you want. Great for kids and dogs. A few wild horses about and Roe Deers, bear that in mind for dogs. Superb arboretum with a great collection of trees. Take a picnic it is very peaceful and restful."
"This was a lovely place, toilets, plenty of benches and there was even an Ice cream van for a post picnic treat! There are various walk options, a nice leaf shaped smaller walk that's completely enclosed so if you have a sighthound you can let them off without any worries of them disappearing on a chase! Really well kept as like most of these areas in the New Forest."
