"Really enjoy the food and atmosphere here. Quirky and comfortable feel to the place. Staff are friendly and polite. Didn’t have to wait too long for food either."
"A very high quality Tearoom, that offers its own further individual character and competently challenges the well known high class Yorkshire tearoom type chains…. We enjoyed both their wholemeal pastry salmon quiche and also a three cheese quiche, both with a fresh salad consisting of a variety of interesting flavours. Following this, we had a good range of interesting sweet options that were beautifully displayed. We met pleasant and competent staff who were very agreeable and unobtrusively attentively and served the deserts just as we asked, warming the apple caramel crumble just slightly with a small serving of warm custard and served the Lime cheesecake and the frangipane both with cream - these were delightful too. Sadly they did not offer a (tropical?) fruit salad, simple apple pie and / or ice cream option for the “more traditional” visitor. This was such a small point, maybe it’s worth discounting when the menu offers so many delightful treats that offer very tempting twists on the norm……..one hope is that you enjoy your visit as much as we have……."
"We visited on a winter's day (12.12.22) The team were excellent and so was the food. I had food from the special board, steak pie and it was really nice. It's a nice, cosy setting and even though I did not have a cake this time, I have in the past and they are lovely. They also do nice quiches and lighter snacks. It's our place to eat in Buxton."
"The food, atmosphere and staff were all both helpful and excellent. The only down was the downstairs toilets were closed and only ones available were on the second floor, not good when you have knee problems. The disabled toilets were outside round the corner in another café other than that well worth a visit."
"I really liked the place. It is nicely decorated and very cosy. The staff was very friendly, they even let me leave my heavy backpack, so I could properly enjoy my hike to Solomon temple. The food was amazing too, I ordered the quiche of the day and hot chocolate. It was the best quiche and hot chocolate I have ever tried. It is a must-visit place if you visit Buxton."
