"Just spent two nights at this pub to celebrate a good friends 70th birthday staying nearby. It's a quintessentially English pub in a small village. The owner and his wife were perfectly friendly and welcoming as opposed to the opinions of some reviews on here. People so often deflect their own social inadequacies onto others which is sad but very common human failing. The food we had was superb and we were made very welcome. The room we stayed in was clean warm comfortable and well equipped too. I would recommend this place to anyone apart from the socially inept and those thinking they should be treated in a special way to assuage their inflated egos."
"The Red Lion is an old English pub with the advantage of serving excellent food. Christmas started on the evening of the 23rd with a lovely family gathering for a meal. All the food was delicious and thoroughly enjoyed and also the beers. Hospitality was welcoming and cheerful."
