"We booked a double room well in advance for a concert but have been notified that we have to either accept a twin or they will cancel us. We are newly married and just wanted the double we booked ages ago. They have now cancelled us with no proper explanation, not great!"

"A standard, basic B&B but I can truly say clean, tidy and certainly a comfortable nights sleep - what more do you need? Landguard House represents good value for money. During the COVID pandemic it has not been possible to operate the breakfast dining room but the manager has been very innovative and provided a very adequate continental breakfast 'take-out' in your room. the mark of someone who tries to do their best for customers - well done."

"The rooms are fine for the price paid but taking away a star since the bathrooms very pretty bad. The showers were drippy & took me ages to even get myself soaked. They're too tiny as well without a lot of space to move around. Also the bottom floors could do with a shower. Only the middle floor has showers & you have to go up all the way to take a shower each time with all your stuff. The rooms & the staff however are very nice."

"Chose this for a couple of nights stay in Southampton. The room was a family room so more than big enough. Nice en suite shower and toilet. The breakfast is excellent and a good selection. Overall very welcoming and would consider an option on future visits to Southampton."
