Car 'expert' desk unmanned and, admittedly new till operator didn't know but did send for help. 'Help' turned up 10 minutes later and went to help another person in the queue who had only entered the store while we were waiting. Deplorable service. Won't be back. Btw, while waiting, we saw a Halfords worker come in from fitting outside, who dropped a car battery 2ft to the floor then storm back out. I wouldn't risk buying anything from there."

"Vehicle was booked weeks in advance for AC repair (known leak, checked by Halfords store on previousvisit) and MOT. Air con work was not completed, now going through a 10hr drive on holiday on the hottest day on record. Had some good experiences in the past but they let us down this time. More detail: On arrival, this was reiterated and expectation of Halfords was job completion by 1pm. Late in the afternoon, no contact received from Halfords, we chased repeatedly and were told the air con was the only thing outstanding and would be done. At the end of the day, the vehicle was collected, MOT complete and Halfords said they were confident after the work that the air con was ok, now just needed filling with gas, their machine was broken but recommended getting gas from their store next door to fill it up. We tested filling up the air con and there is still an audible leak and the system won't hold any pressure. It doesn't appear any work was done for the air con. Very disappointed that the work wasn't done, that we had to chase them to try and get it on their radar (got the impression they had forgotten) and that they made out it was now fine when there is no improvement."
