"First of all, I would like to say thank you for the Practise Manager for handling my case very professionally and with her support I was issued with a partial refund of the treatment. I did not have a good overall experience regarding appointment booking- I had appointments cancelled last minute due to booking errors, casually informing me that these things happen, but it is rather a nuisance after the mis- treatment I have received. The dentist I had to see is Ali Mahdavi. I had a private appointment to repair a broken tooth, which was done on 19th May 2021. I had problems with this repair from the beginning as the gap was quite big between the two teeth and it caused my gum to be inflamed as food get stuck in. I had to see another dentist within the practise and he suggested the filling to be redone. I eventually had an appointment with the above-named dentist and he did some correction. It was very slightly better. In February 2022 the tooth chipped, a small piece broke off from the filling. I requested it to be repaired. When I went to my appointment, the above-named dentist was rude and said I was "too fussy and it is not dangerous". He patched it up reluctantly and said, next time I had to pay, he cannot keep repairing my tooth for free. At the beginning of May the whole filling fell out. I went to see another dentist practise and after a thorough examination I had my options listed: the chance to save this tooth is very slim, the old root canal filling had been compromised and another piece fractured. The treatment would cost around £2000 and no guarantee it would work. Or, I have it removed and consider an implant later from £2500. At this point, I had to decide to have the tooth removed. I cannot form a medically correct opinion, but I am convinced that my initial treatment was a mistake and the way this dentist treated me as a patient was disrespectful and just not acceptable. At this point I am trying to be very factual, but I am also very angry and also sad, but will not burden you all with more of my emotions and opinion. The facts will speak."
