"In my recent experience they are PRICEY when compared to other local independent garages. Again, in my experience they quote/charge virtually main dealer prices when they are in fact a small, independent garage. Seems unfair to post this review publicly without some evidence so see below: In October 2022 Stoney Cross (who I had used before for repairs) provided a quote over the phone of £626 for a cam belt and water pump change (without a service included). Another local, small, independent garage who I’ll refer to as Not Rip off Merchants A completed the timing belt and water change PLUS a full service for LESS than what Stoney Cross quoted JUST for the belt and pump change. A third independent garage who I’ll refer to as Not Rip Off Merchants B also matched the quote from A but were unable to book me in for a few weeks so I went with option A. Main dealers can justify charging huge labour fees as they have significant overheads and a lot of staff to pay. Stoney Cross don’t have these same level of costs so why charge customers the huge labour fees? I would recommend to go elsewhere locally for a garage who do not charge the excessive labour fees as Stoney Cross are doing. Shouldn’t come as a surprise but I won’t be back. In response to your reply: Thanks for replying to my review and for your very insightful analogy. It’s really made me step back and think. Fantastic. Well motor oil is motor oil. Brake fluid is brake fluid. A timing belt is a timing belt. A mechanic’s time is worth how much? Depends where you go I suppose. Thank you"

"Ive used this garage for the past 5 years for all services, mot and repairs. They always do an excellent job very professional. The staff are friendly and helpful. If necessary on any procedures the garage will collect my car and then bring it back. Thanks , Phil"
