Reviews
"I visited The Horse and Groom pub during the day when it was pretty much dead (only two other punters). Most of the cask ales were not available, and the one that was turned out to be oxidized. A friend from Derby had recommended this place, so I'll give it the benefit of the doubt that I simply had bad luck. As it is, a typical, fairly roomy community boozer with (theoretically) 5 ales on tap. With a pool table in the back."
"Nice little out of the way pub, staff friendly. Only issue I had was they didn't sell popular brands of whiskey and others were quite pricey ( even bar staff agreed)"
"Used to come here years ago when my dad was the entertainer. Obviously under new management now who has kept the place pretty much the same as it was all those years ago in very good condition. We came here for my dad's wake it was like stepping back in time had a wonderful afternoon sharing old memories on what was a very special place to the whole family. Thank you for such great hospitality and making a very sad day for us all. The place is very quaint, quiet. Doesn't have car parking but no drink driving. Difficult entry for wheelchair users but it can be done. Would recommend."
"Few more beers on and it would be 5 stars. Lovely local and always lots of fun when the bands are on. Lovely staff too."
