"Freezing cold shower which seems to be an ongoing problem here that they are not willing to fix. Heating was switched off in my bedroom and I was given a tiny electric heater which made no effect what so ever. The property itself is lovely and the rooms are tastefully decorated. If you like a warm shower and room don't stay here."
"Nice place in a gorgeous village. We were looking for somewhere to have a best friend natter over lunch which we did. I can't fault the pub, the service or the location. But parking was impossible and the two pizzas we had were over priced and bland. We couldn't stretch to other food options (this is an expensive eatery) and the topping choices were really weird, unappetizing and the pizza crust too thick and doughy. I'd have been really disappointed had the food been our reason for meeting up there!"
"Lovely pub, great atmosphere and delicious food. Three old friends had excellent food here, arrived 1pm, didn't leave until 4.40pm. We were not rushed or made to feel it was time to leave. Would happily return."
"I'd really like to give it 5 stars as the dishes were excellent, as was the wine but there were a few niggles. Food was a bit cool, probably left on pass too long, and service was a bit lax. I put this down to the inexperience of the waiting staff as they had clearly been in job only a short while. The children's menu clearly said at the top 2 courses £11.50 but one of the desserts carried an additional £5 which wasn't made totally clear on the menu. I thought that a bit sneaky. The setting is lovely. The fire was roaring and the cleanliness was superb. Toilets really nicely designed with high end toiletries."
"Called in after getting let down by another venue. Dog and Child friendly, we had one course and thank God we did....very generous portions. Not the cheapest but the quality amply made up for it. Highly recommended I would be happy to visit again."
