"Had 2 sofas to pass on. Two men turned up on time and had both sofas in the back of their van within 10 minutes. Expertly done would certainly recommend."
"Rude staff not friendly at all. They don't know how to talk to customer. Treated like we trying to steal the furniture from them. Most of all I made a mistake parking infront of the building where we load a bed last time. Within 20 mins. I got a PCN ticket. I probably think the comm has happened from the staff. But lesson learnt never go to any BHF stores now or recommend to anyone."
"We booked a collection for Friday 7th May. ( we had a microwave and a stereo system) Nobody turned up, so I emailed Saturday night. Sunday morning we get a phone call that went along the lines of “ phoning about your collection you booked. Thing is we prefer to prioritise on collecting larger items so can you just drop it off to the store “ So no apology first of all for not being informed that our collection would not happen, and no appreciation at all that we were going to donate an almost new microwave and stereo system to them. The telephone number was withheld otherwise my husband was going to phone back. whoever that man was who phoned me, your customer service sucks!"
"I booked a house clearance collection. I had to wait 3-4 weeks but that was fine this charity was important to me. I pre confirmed everything I had sending over a list. Moved it all out to the front of my property the morning of collection. On arrival the guys told me they would only take furniture items even though I had pre arranged the collection on the phone stating all the items I had. It was some real expensive suits and clothes from a late family member but they refused it without even looking. I also had moves dull of modern books. The arrogance of the delivery drivers really put me off and I withheld some of the furniture items due to this. I have now donated them to another local charity they go straight to the people who need them without making a high sale price in which the company keep most of. I have been giving to BHF for many years but I wouldn’t donate again unfortunately"
"Good place to find home decor, furniture, pictures, rugs. Seeing that most items have been donated I did find things leant towards the expensive side. Some items had sticker on them stating they were brand new but had possibly been donated by a company as a shop seconds, the small nicks, dents & slight splits said they weren't brand spanking new but unfortunately even though it's for a worthwhile charity the price tags were very high. I shop in charity places to grab a bargain & support the diverse charities needing help. It is becoming a trend for some charity shops to be donated good quality items but over charging the customers. For goods that have been donated surely it would make sense to sell them at a reasonable price for a quicker turnover. I needed my purchased furniture delivered I also had an item of furniture to be collected I was quietly stunned by the cost of delivery £25! I'm disabled so even if they had loaded it into my car I wouldn't have been able to unload it! I only a mile from town centre! I had already spent near on £100 but the lamp I choose was faulty & another lamp vanished after the 1st guy to help me went home. Charity begins at home that's why I bought my furniture there. Charities prices need to be good will prices!"
