"Well…I’m not sure what to say now as previously this had been a great restaurant but I’d only ever eaten in. Eating in the restaurant - great service and quality food. Take away - probably one of the worst curries I have eat ever. The sauce was very watery/runny, very little flavour. We ordered a veggie starter and that didn’t come so I ended up going back to pick it up from the restaurant. Was shocked when I saw that we had paid £7 for the photo above! Unfortunately, that’s the end of Shalimar Gold for me. I’ll have to source another Indian takeaway."

"Amazing food and really superb service. I am very impressed. Paul and the team did a super job looking after us. Super curry sauces and meat so tender and well cooked. Also spices balanced and nan light and fully fluffy. I stopped eating curry out as most places in the area are average. This is a first rate place. Well done and thanks, you earned a repeat customer!"

"Excellent food in very nice surroundings served by a robot cat!! What more do you need in life. Both dishes were superb, although the dansak could have had a bit more kick to it. Service was great, Paul and the team ensure everything is to your satisfaction without being intrusive. It is a bit more than some price wise but as a birthday meal couldn't beat it."
