"Lovely quiet atmosphere, friendly and efficient staff, beautiful food at very reasonable prices, nice selection of drinks including some very tasty mocktails. Very much enjoyed our little dinner date. The pudding tasted fresh and not microwaved stodge like most places. Would absolutely recommend."

"When I first looked up this chef and brewer pub I thought it looked a bit uninviting from the outside, nearly considered going somewhere else. But I then googled pictures and saw the inside, it looked lovely and friendly and inviting, so we decided to give it a try. Well all I can say is wow, just wow. The staff were really polite and helpful and the food…….well, the food was just amazing. I ordered the sharing Camembert cheese board for starters, it was huge. Others in the party ordered the Korean chicken strips, this was so big it was like a main, it was great. For mains I ordered the belly of pork which was presented really posh and fancy and tasted great, again others in our party ordered the burger, it was a monster of a burger, which again tasted great. The desserts were just as good. We wasn’t hurried in any way, nor did we have to wait ages for our food either, I just wish all restaurants were as good as this one. If I didn’t live so far away I would definitely visit here loads more times. Well done and keep the good work up."

"Food was lovely! Portion sizes spot on! Service was lacking, we had a friendly server to start with but she must have finished at 5pm because after this we were forgotten about, our first server ordered our desserts around 4:45, we didn't receive them until around 5:15 then we finally had a check back and paid up at 5:45, wouldn't mind if it was busy but there was only us (and one other table that came in just after 5pm) in the whole pub. But, the main reason to dine is for food and the food was lovely!"

"An absolutely lovely place to visit with a little bit off added countryside at the back. The food was lovely and the staff were very welcoming and polite. They still provide a table service which is great but you can also relax at the bar. They do both lunch time and evening menus with a variety of foods definitely worth a try"
