"First time at Shanghai 1814. Really good tasty food, calming atmosphere inside. We did set meal for 2 and was more than plenty of food, at £50 head it should be. Some would question the prices there but it is what it is ... if you want cheap and cheerful, go to the takeaway down the road. The service was great. I would definitely go back, but not regularly unless i was rich."

"Amazing food and atmosphere. Every thing is freshly cooked to order and is so tasty, you really are spoilt for choice. Beautifully decorated inside. The staff are very welcoming, efficient and polite. Plates are cleared away after each course, the tables are wiped, new napkins are brought over and your water glass is never empty. Amazing range of cocktails and spirits. Definitely worth a visit for a special occasion."
"Very nice restaurant. Food was amazing, service amazing. Waitress recommended beef with mushrooms as main dish, my husband doesn’t like mushrooms but decided to try. And it was 10/10 we enjoyed it. Definitely come back again."
