"Renamed THE HOOK, We ate here yesterday, meeting up with friends, our dog was welcome, our food delivered to our table prompt and hot, I was very full after my chilli, but the other half went for the syrup sponge & custard delishous. Didn't feel rushed great value, will definately go again."

"The waiter at the Hook (I wish I had asked his name!) was better than any other I have experienced in any top restaurant. Diabetes type 1 being the one serious condition that many restaurants seem unable to cater for…..the Hook however, knew exactly what was in every dish and were prepared to adapt accordingly. A Delight to have fresh food with an aware chef and staff: would go back on this basis online. Thank you for making my evening relaxed. I hope one day you see on menus ….vegetarian , vegan , gluten free and ‘sugar free’ a much needed addition to this ever increasing list. Thank you again!"
