Links Childcare Abington

"Our baby joined Links in Abington just before his 1st birthday at the end of November 2021 and in the short time he has been in their care we have become very attached to their amazing team. We are first time parents and both work full time hours. To leave our son for long days in the care of strangers was a daunting prospect for us however, it soon became evident that we had absolutely nothing to worry about and we feel they are part of our family now! Yes there were tears when we dropped him off and it was hard to walk away and yes there were bugs and missed days over the first month (I think we had 8 full days over the month of December!) but the girls demonstrated so much compassion in understanding that it was a tough transition for us and within 2-3 weeks our little boy jumped out of our arms to go to the girls. He adores them and it is easy to see why. They are so smiley and interactive with him and he seems really content in their care. We are provided with a summary of how his day went when we collect him and the team is extremely obliging in supporting changes such as the dropping of a nap or reduction in bottles etc. They are very open to working with our requests which we appreciate. The chef is amazing and food is varied and nutritious. The baby room is bright, cheerful, lots of toys to play with and the girls play games and sing songs with the babies. We both go to work without worry and that is worth everything to us. We are so grateful to Amber, Niamh (since moved to Drumcondra), Martha, Hayleigh, Sarah (new acting manager), Daniella and all of the other girls in the baby room. But particularly Amber. She has been an angel in setting our son up on his journey in creche and we have a lot to thank her for. We highly recommend Links in Abington! Emma and Tom Brady."

"My baby started in October when he was 10 months old, Links Abbington & St Olaves came highly recommended from friends and family and honestly we couldn't be happier with our choice! Granted we had the first few weeks of settling in where he caught everything going the first few weeks due to having a zero immune system but true to what everyone said he would be bullet proof after & he hasn't missed a day since! ( Note no case of covid in the baby room to date ) During our first few weeks I was always ringing for updates etc ( classic nervous mom) but they were always so kind, never made me feel like it was an inconvenience etc. On the creche staff, we have had some turnover due to promotions, maternity leave & of course people leave as happens in all industries ( I can't imagine it is the easiest of roles) but the standard of the staff remains high! Daniella, Beatrice, Niamh , Martha were all fantastic! Amber & Hayleigh ( now managed by Sarah on week three who is equally as bubbly as her predecessors ) have been a constant, we went from tearful drop offs in the beginning to massive smiles when he sees them all now! They also are a great team, you can tell they all work well together, they have a laugh & who doesn't want their children to be in a happy environment. Everyone complains about the price of creches, it is high but that is down to the Govt not creches, We can go to work with full confidence knowing our son will be well fed looked after and happy, that to us is priceless & our child always comes back with a clean happy face & a nappy !"

"Links Abington is an excellent crèche - throughout the year that my daughter has attended here she has had a lovely experience. She started in the baby room, and is now in the wobbler rooms. Through both rooms the staff were brilliant and developed great relationships with my daughter, right down to her even knowing and loving the crèche’s chef! The management overall is really good, with consistent communication between them and parents. We look forward to having our daughter here until she starts primary school."
