"Upon arrival just driving down the entrance driveway across the cattle grid to see the Hall I could not keep my jaw from hitting the floor. It was like going on a school trip back in time to a historical hall but this time you could touch. The fixtures and fittings and paintings are all in keeping with the period. This place dates back to 1564. But to bring it back to modern times theres a brand new tennis court, table tennis in the top room and wifi that kept 18 people happy and entertained. It took me 3 days to find every area in the house. The gardens were glorious, and they extend to huge fields with cattle beyond. This place is pitch black at night. We felt like lord of the manor coming from Deepest darkest Manchester."

"Perfect weekend ! Stayed here with family and friends ranging in age from 4 - 70 and everyone of us loved everything about this house .Full of character and surprises - 21 of us but more than enough space, cutlery crockery everything you need ,very clean, expected it might be cold at this time of year but quite the opposite .Excellent communication with owner and housekeeper for all our queries before we went .Booked caterers in for saturday night and had lovely meal. Fabulous birthday weekend worth every penny ."
