"Most uncomfortable stay I’ve ever had in a hotel…..the mattress was rock hard and lumpy with awful pillows. They advertise you can request feather pillows but when I asked they stated they had 4 for over 100 rooms so had none left! Talk about over promise and under Deliver! Room was uncomfortably hot and even though I mentioned this on my first day it took them 3 days to figure out my room was stuck on 24 degrees on the main control panel…..great after not being able to sleep for the first 2 nights. Food offering is extremely poor! What they offer are just frozen bought in meals they warm up….very poor quality. Out of 4-5 offering not one night all were available and are all unhealthy options…..pizza, curry or lasagne! My room wasn’t very clean finding another guests toe nail clipping on the carpet ( disgusting) and dirt and dust on surfaces. I spoke to the manager over several of these issues as I’d had enough and was staying 4 nights. There is literature all over the room promising they will put right any issues if you speak to the staff. I have to say the hotel manager had zero customer service skills. He was rude, arrogant and disinterested. Made excuses for every issue and didn’t apologise or offer to resolve any of them. Shrugged his shoulders several times at me and made out I wasn’t telling the truth more than once. I honestly could not wait to leave this place as my back was wrecked! Not sure how any manager of a hotel could be so unconcerned his guests were not comfortable or happy! I’m sure I’ll get the generic response from the company but my advice would be address the many issues in this poorly run location!"
"Ideal if you are travelling by train as its a 5 minute walk from Crewe Station. Staff are friendly and very helpful. The breakfast and evening meal options let it down but there's a Mcdonalds outside the front door if you prefer"
"Stayed overnight during Xmas holidays last week. Absolutely amazing value ,very clean room and very roomy for a twin bed room. But...found it weird when at breakfast asked the lady on duty for some pepper she repeated, pepper, looked at me gone off saying there isn't any. Looking at all tables I could see no salt or pepper on any ."
"Tired rooms, with usual amenities but not working quite as smoothly as you’d like. (I struggled with the air conditioning and the shower). Free breakfast is decent and parking is fine, and seems quite secure. I’d actually score this a little less, for being essentially ordinary, but the staff are so friendly and helpful that this pushed the score up again. So, I’d go back."
"The hotel as a whole is clean and a pleasant place to be, the room was large with a comfy bed, sizeable shower and with more than welcome air-con. My only gripe was the food (we travelled on a coach trip so meals were included), it was pretty mediocre at best and with a very limited choice of which i liked nothing sadly, thankfully there is a MacDonalds over the road where you can grab a bite to eat and get a decent cup or tea or coffee."
