Reviews of Secret Valley Wildlife Park
"Absolutely brilliant from start to finish, it really is a hidden gem! We fed baby goats, held snakes and rabbits, fed alpacas and lamas, loved the quad bike rides, enjoyed the brilliant indoor wooden play area, loved the traditional lawn games, went on the very interesting nature walk, had welly throwing competitions and had a lovely lunch in the cafe. We stayed for 4 hours and could have stayed even longer if time had allowed us! Will definitely be going back and highly, highly recommend!!"
"We had a great morning at Secret Valley. We arrived early (9:30) and had the place to ourselves. It got busy from about 11. I'd describe it as a mini farm but with really special animals - many rescued. After a walk around visiting all the animals, we went to the shed where the kids got to hold a big snail and a corn snake. The volunteers were very knowledgeable and had loads of information about the animals. From there we had a few rounds of the garden games, really fun. Some of them needed a bit of work done as the balls were flat, some games were a bit worse for wear. Off to the restaurant then, food was great and we all enjoyed our meals. Thought it was good value too! Picnics are allowed and there are plenty of benches to sit down at. All in all we spent about 3 hours here and thoroughly enjoyed it. Bring your Wellies!"
"It is a great day out with plenty to do. The animals are interesting. There is a tortoise scurrying around the place which is huge. There are various other animals from the usual to the exotic. The picnic area is very nice. There are two playgrounds one inside one out. The owner is very busy running sessions with the animals or driving children around the place on a mad looking train. The coffee is good."
"Loved it here.. Kids had a absolute great day, we got to feed the animals, they had a reptile showing which was brilliant. Food in the cafe was absolutely gorgeous staff were super friendly and so nice. Definitely be back."
"Interesting animals for kids to see. Nicely spaced out to walk around. There’s a barn with smaller more indoor animals where kids can see them up close, very exciting. A large turtle roaming in the barn is the biggest attraction but meerkats that you can see quite close are second favourite for kiddies. There’s also a small coffee shop and toilets that are very well maintained."
