Reviews of The Holyhead
"*******Please read this comment. This is hands down the WORST most DISGUSTING places that I have ever stayed at. All of these nice 5 star comments are from friends of the staff. It was a horrible experience. Worst shower, gross bathroom. The rooms make you feel like you're in prison. Horrible looks from guest that have lived there for years. It's terrible guys. Please don't think this is a joke or I'm bashing them for any other reason than it's hands down the most nasty, disgusting, slum of a hostel. It says "Bed & Breakfast" on the building, but that's far from true. This place needs to be shut down."
"Perfect location, staff extremely helpful, room clean and tidy, new bed and mattress. Highly recommend. Free coffee and other stuff, really nice breakfast just across the street (special deal with holyhead hostel)"
"Not sure where to start so ill start with the only good part, the view of the street was perfect. However, they don't inform you they will be charging you half of your stay to your credit card then charge it days later.the beds definately have bed bugs as seen in other reviews. The part that was the weirdest was having the creepy maintenance guy try to walk in our room at 20:00 or 8pm when he thought we weren't there then have him run off when he heard us question his presence. The doors to the rooms also open directly into the bed frame which is ridiculously oversized and in the way. The bathroom was clean enough but the shower has no heat..at all.overall the tall skinny manager was nice but the rest of the staff or tenants were offputting or creepy like the maintenance worker"
"Location is perfect. Staff is the best. Free super fast internet. Tidy and clean bedroom. Free candy, free coffe and complimentaries. If you need any help ask Ivan. He's always willing to help. You can always ask for more towels and free shampoo."
"This was our first time staying in a hostel so naturally we was slightly worried but was pleasantly surprised. Affordable prices, free wifi, clean private room and friendly Manager Gordana is wonderful host in the heart of Dublin. What more do you need?! We enjoyed every day we spent exploring Dublin.
