Reviews of Ariel House
"I hosted my entire family and some friends (a total of nine rooms) at Ariel House during my wedding celebration and all of them only had great things to say about their stay. From the reception service and their multilingual and incredibly kind staff, to the kitchen team, the amazing breakfast, the accommodation in itself and Marko, the wonder manager who made sure all was well prior to their arrival. Thank you Ariel House for being the perfect guesthouse!"
"We love our stay here. Amazing breakfast, room and service. The price is so affordable too. We will come back again"
"Amazing place, you want to explore Dublin but also be at the hotel and spend some time there. Beautifully decorated, the rooms are more than comfortable, big and clean and breakfasts are one of the best parts, be prepared for great food to start the day with! Location - everything is walking distance. The staff is very friendly and polite. I really loved it! Hvala:)"
"We stayed for a total of 6 nights here and had a relatively comfortable holiday. Positives: - nice, old house in a very beautiful neighbourhood - staff at the reception was very helpful in booking us early taxis and preparing our take-away breakfasts on days we couldn’t enjoy the on-site one - clean rooms Downsides: - breakfast is a mess. It all depends if you get a reliable server or not. You can wait up to 45’ just to be seated in the overly warm breakfast area. If you continue to be unlucky after you get seated, you can wait up to 30’ more to get your food. The worst part is, you’ll see everyone else around you come and go and you’ll still be there. - some people reserve tables for breakfast, which for a salon that has 8 tables in total is completely ridiculous. To have people waiting for a table while holding off a reserved table where the guests were an hour late to it is something I’ve never heard of. - again on the breakfast, now talking about the food itself. The menu is interesting indeed, but there is not much of a variety if you spend some days there. I asked for some fresh veggies one day, and they looked at me like i was an alien… like.. the menu is only the one in front of you, basically they couldn’t accommodate any other request. Which would be understandable if this guesthouse wouldn’t be so large, making it the size of a proper hotel in the end. - in regards of the room, the bed is very small (140x200), making it difficult for tall people like ourselves. In the end, everything was optimised for profit, not for the comfortable stay of the guests. Very dissatisfied considering the high cost of the stay (over 1000 euros for 6 nights) and the services we received."
"I was incredibly surprised by the condition of the hotel in comparison the photos and reviews online, especially for what ended up being over $300/night. The hotel itself has some very beautiful areas, but overall my room was run down and in some ways quite dirty. For example, at one point the toilet was not working properly and when I opened the back of it to adjust the tank floater I was shocked that it was covered in mold. The other aspect I struggled with was the carpet in my room. I was not comfortable being in it without shoes on, which is not the expectation I have for a 4 star hotel, or any accommodation at this price point. (Photos attached for reference.) To be honest, if I didn’t arrive so late in the evening after a long day of traveling I probably would have asked for a refund and tried to find another place to stay for this much money. The bright spots for the hotel were the shared areas, which were very nice, and the unique furniture in the rooms. The breakfast was also a lovely addition, and the staff themselves seemed nice and helpful. Overall- bummed at how this experience shaped up for the price point, especially given how good the reviews were on this site :("
