Reviews of The Royal Hotel
"I had a feeling of being at home while staying there! The room was so cozy with comfortable beds. Very clean and nice Hotel with historical feel"
"Terrible! I went to look the room and the price at the reception and was attended by a rude man, who was kicking me out of the hotel saying that there was no more vacancy. I never go near this hotel anymore."
"I wouldn't visit again. Staff were nice except Reception staff were abrupt. Even though we had checked in online we had to do it all again, took 15 minutes! We ordered the special Pizza and Beer but no bottle opener. Bar told us we had to bring down the bottles to be opened then go back up to the room. Outside the bedroom window is an awful mess, meant to be away relaxing but it looked horrible plus one of the rooms was like a boxroom. Food was good in the evening and morning. Wait staff and Accommodation staff were very friendly and efficient. Band on that evening were good too. Pool was nice but they only had 3 towels left so we were told to share between 4 of us, why they could not ask the hotel to drop more down I don't know!"
"I do not recommend this Hotel at all. The installations are very very old, not as vintage more like old and ugly. We paid over 200€ for a night (for two). The room was horrible, spacious but very ugly and the views were to an inside patio... Issues with hot water we couldn't have hot showers whatsoever. And as well issues with the hitting, you have no control over it, there is a timed system where is turned on and off automatically. You as well will find random spare furniture around the building. After speaking to the manager his solution was discounts for THE FUTURE... Honestly save your money.. We feel ripped off after our stay."
"Hotel was lovely, location was great too and the staff were lovely. Interior was very dated and our rooms view was a concrete wall which blocked out a lot of the natural light. There was also no features on the wall, no pictures/art etc. We took advantage of the pool and it was lovely and clean too. The bar and restaurant was also really nice with the staff really helpful and friendly and the food lovely, piping hot and a good range to choose from"
