"I booked a blood test in the Dun Laoighre location for today after they kept cancelling my bookings in Lucan. An Emily Kelly: My appointment was confirmed for 1:45 today and I drove 45 minutes and arrived at 21 summer hill road there was no signs for the place on the door, the door was locked up and I called the the number which was out of service when I called. I was doing a blood test for fertility which I had to do a certain time of my cycle and has now set me back a whole month. Scam. Avoid. This place obviously doesn’t exist."

"I booked an appointment for a blood test through their website, received confirmation via email and after arriving to Bray from Dublin on a Sunday morning, I was informed that their blood tests are not going ahead until mid-September. No information on their website or social media channels - which I can see has been updated this week, funny that I didn't receive a reply to my email though! Please avoid if possible, zero respect for the patients/customers, no replies to emails, impossible to reach by phone. If this is how they start interaction with a customer, then I can only imagine what happens when you actually use their services and are waiting for the blood test results, etc. Very irresponsible and very, very disappointing."

"If you, like me, were looking to get on-demand, no-questions-asked blood tests and hoped that this were it, look elsewhere (I dare you, cuz there's nothing else out there, hence my disappointment). Quick side-note: there is no "Folacare" per-se', in reality the company is called "New Derm". Since they are doing this as a side-business, they are doing it under the "New Derm" brand. So to find the place look for "New Derm". But in reality there's really no need to visit this place. Here's why: 1. Asked to do a series of tests that costed me 450 EUR total. All was good until the results come back and half of the results are missing. It's unclear if it's the lab's fault (doubtful as they do this for a living) or their fault (much more likely). 2. They ask me to come back to draw blood again and they'll cover the remaining tests "free of charge". This is not optimal as I don't exactly live in Bray.... but I bite the bullet and spend 1+ hours traveling back to have my blood take a second time. The results came and what I notice is the lab saying stuff like "SPECIMEN SLIGHTLY HAEMOLYSED. RESULT MAY BE FALSELY ELEVATED. INTERPRET WITH CAUTION.". Which basically means the blood was not kept in proper storage and/or they took a while to send it to the lab, which made the HIGHLY PAID blood results to be "interpreted with caution"... like, seriously? 3. Their promise of "4 hour turnaround" is a joke. Both time the results took 3-4 days to come back. Granted, it's a lot quicker than a gp-provided blood result which can take 2 weeks but at least the GP provided tests are not "to be interpreted with caution". Conclusion: I had very high hopes this would put an end to the GP asking me "why do I need tests" but unfortunately this company is not it... Until a decent company comes around your best bet is still your GP."
