Reviews of Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown
"Well I was taken in this Wednesday morning by ambulance arrived at 4 o'clock in the Accident and emergency Was given pain relief and bloods done straight away and had to wait for about 4 hours and then was redirected to zone 2. Where I was looked after very well. Had to come back Thursday morning for more checks. They were awesome, and so hard working,so thank you to all the staff involved, especially in zone two.Thank you to nurse mairead and Dr Lawrence."
"On the 21st of December, My Dad was sent in for surgery at 6.40 am as he had a broken leg and was unable to walk, After arriving at the hospital we were given a wheelchair as he was in pain and struggled to use the crutches. At 7.20 a woman staff member took him in and told him to get up and walk. Everyone in the waiting area was shocked as he was in a wheelchair with a broken leg.. She repeated that he has to walk in, He struggled to even get out of his wheelchair and grab the crutches as the staff member just watched him struggle.. In this he managed to hurt himself more and was in even more pain. This is extremely unproffesional, I cant say the same for other staff members as he was treated well after surgery in the surgical ward by a young man who was very understanding and helpful."
"I went to the ER with my 7 year old who had temperature over 40 degrees Celsius and very bad cough. Had to wait 5 hours only to get Calpol and being told by the nurse that I should've went to Temple hospital instead of them. I could see how they were treating the other sick children just as bad. The doctor mentioned I should let my child have even a higher temperature as long as he won't have seizures...how is that care?? disgraceful . Parking was horrible, and the emergency department was closed till 9AM?? I will tell my child to be sick between the hours of 9am-5pm from now on, and to seizure if he really wants emergency care."
"I was admitted by ambulance to the A& E department on Thursday 17th November. I have to say that the nurses and doctors were incredible while under huge pressure literally running from patient to patient in a very crowded A&E. They are so patient and caring. God bless them for all they do tirelessly. I cannot understand why some people are so abusive, I understand they are vulnerable but to watch how staff try deal with everyone and have to prioritise the more serious cases. Thank you to all for the care given to me."
"The staff in the A& E are truly exceptional. The kindness & good humour I witnessed from every single member of staff in the A&E department on the evening/night shift was unbelievable. Not one member of staff seemed jaded by their job very heartwarming to see. Well done to you all & more importantly thank you."
