Mount Carmel Community Hospital

"I was in mount Carmel hospital for 9 weeks in lavender ward and it was a total nightmare of a stay one some of the senior care assistant named thiago who is a complete bully forcing patience it doing things that they are not able to do fully yet and the food was awful I mean the portion sizes was absolute disgrace I would not recommend to stay at mount Carmel and also management are a disgrace they talk to you has if you are a piece of dirt"

"My brother has spent 5weeks in the lavender ward and the staff are appaling with a negative attitude and the kitchen staff are the same visiting hours are really bad and also medical staff talk about there patients behind there backs like there back in school it's really terrible the HSE should be a ashamed of them self's allowing this to happen"

"Grossly understaffed . Scarecrow agency staff. Too stupid to work at McDonald's. Kitchen appalling , I never had a warm meal . Crockery and cutlery never cleaned properly. I was mixed in with end of life and dementia patients in a locked ward."

"Spent several weeks here on the lavender ward the building looks run down but the staff couldn't be any more caring it was a pleasure to meet and spend time with them the friendly atmosphere helps rest the mind and restore the body"

"My Mum was here for 3 weeks. This is a step-down from hospital as a transition to a final location. The building is bright and cheery and spacious. The staff were unfailingly caring, kind and patient. I cannot praise them enough. She moved to a nursing home today and had a great sendoff from the staff. (She was in the Maple Ward). The location is served by the 14 bus and is well located between Churchtown and Orwell Rd. Not many shops or cafes close by so have your lunch before you go. (My only quibble would be that the hot drinks machine in the lounge serves liquid that is hard to identify :))"
