"Julie & Sarah are amazing hotel hosts and landlady's! Having lived local I used to be a regular at the pub which has a great mixture of regular entertainment. Now I have moved out of the area, I stayed in one of their wonderful rooms when visiting. So tastefully decorated, super comfortable and a delight to stay in! Sorry, I took photos just before I left so the bed had been made by me. Really recommend this place for a drink and or a stay over when in the area"

"What can I say, an absolutely wonderful stay at the Victoria. The staff are all friendly, welcoming and helpful, the pub itself is very clean, warm and homely. The room was one of the nicest rooms I have stayed in for many years. Clean, attention to detail with appearance. Warm and inviting. A lot of thought and effort was placed in every aspect of the room. From a nice selection of tea and coffees for a morning drink after waking, to the art work and furniture in the room. I will now look for another gig to attend at the Rigger to stay at the Victoria once again, with my partner. A very short walk to the city centre makes this an idea place to stay. Thank you for a wonderful stay and we will be back."
