The ClubHouse Steak House

"I was really looking forward to trying this place out, thinking I would be on the receiving end of a premium dining experience. Instead, the whole experience was extremely disappointing and a waste of my time and money. There was way too much sauce on the prawn starters, the steak was too dry (I ordered medium), the chips overcooked and the dessert was poorly made & presented. What really annoyed me was the owner/manager trying to push a £150 steak on me when I originally wanted a steak in the region of £40. He was also sitting right in front of me having a chit chat with the staff wearing just jeans and a t shirt. Not very professional if ask me. The lighting was also very dim at the back (where I was sitting), I understand they had the football on there but the place was almost empty and they could've turned the lights up for me while I was eating. As for the look of the place. The bar looked fine but the rest of the decor just looked tacky. The toilets could do with a bit more TLC and the windows need a good wipe. I was going to stay for the England vs USA match but there was no atmosphere so I left. And I won't ever be coming back."

"If you haven't been, you're missing out!! 5 stars isn't enough for this place. The food is insanely good. You need to try the braised beef loaded fries, they are just amazing! The burgers do not disappoint either, they are huge and just taste incredible. Dine in to make it a a special occasion, or get burgers and fries delivered, just don't overlook this place as you'll miss out on the best burgers and steak for miles."

"First time ever eating at The Clubhouse in their new location. I'm a very fussy eater as anyone that knows me will tell you. I'm not a fan of cheese in my burger and am a real stickler for eating things I know. Tonight I had the 180 burger and it was the best burger I've ever eaten. Beautifully cooked, succulent meat and a perfectly cooked side of sweet potato fries with Biggie Sauce. I even snuck in a taste of the shredded beef loaded fries which was equally amazing. Great value for money and lovely friendly staff too. Looking forward to another visit in the near future."

"The food here was amazing. My husband had the single juicy Lucy which was so delicious. I ordered the T-bone steak but they gave me the porterhouse steak on the house. The steak was perfectly cooked as I asked for medium. We also ordered the pulled beef fries. Alexandra gave us excellent service and we didn’t need to wait too long for the food. I really loved the atmosphere of the restaurant too. Would definitely go back."

"Glad we could just pop in with out a reservation, around 5pm on a Saturday afternoon. Parking was nice a free which is always a bonus, as for the venue, it was pleasant and easy on the. It a good place to test your friendships with Vegan, that say they don't mind you eating meat, as it will a meat overload for them. The service was quite and it was nice to be acknowledge as soon as we walked in the door, mind you there weren't that many other patrons in at the time. After receiving our menus we were left alone for a suitable amount of time to choose what drinks we're having prior to ordering our starters and main meal. Our meats were cooked to almost perfection the chicken was absolutely fabulous, my beef burger need a little more seasoning, but otherwise it was very good, and the price reflects the quality and quantity very well. For me I could see this as good venue to start off the night with a large group of friends or family. If you just be the sun goes down you can get a bit artistic with the decor"
