"Misleading pricing. Items beside wrong price tags. Jars with lids popped and contents leaking. One needs to check every item. They close checkouts to push you toward self-service, but generally speaking, people will queue at the ordinary check-out even if there is only one. This seems to be the practice in many supermarkets these days. This refers to the Ballinteer branch."

"A nice upmarket shop. It does has price matched items but it's very easy to spend more money on expensive items. The self scan is good but it seems to require a rescan way more than Tesco or other stores. The 10 of 50 expires after a few weeks and becomes the far less appealing 10 off 130"

"I went there today and I’m absolutely disgusted. First of all, as soon as I went in the security guard started following me the whole way through the shop. I finished and went to the scan as you shop check-out and was picked to a random check of 20 items. She checked it and the machine beeped. It beeped because an item ‘wasn’t payed for’ but it was. It said it wasn’t scanned because i used the ‘+’ feature to add multiple. Apparently, that feature doesn’t work and it didn’t say that anywhere. That feature should be removed and I am not returning."

"Always a pleasure to shop in SuperValu Knocklyon - very well run, so clean, fresh goods & helpful friendly staff. Only drawback are the prices. At higher price point end & would mostly shop in Lidl, Aldi or Tesco because of this. Only visit here on occasion."
