The adult sizes cost more than I could spend on myself during Christmas week, but after nosing around the children's section I found a teenage size which easily fit me & only cost £15. The brilliant guy with an African accent confirmed the price was correct so I bought them and left the store very satisfied, thank you."

"I wanted my first pair of hiking boots but was a bit unsure of my size and what to look for, beyond that I wanted leather for extra waterproofing. The staff were really friendly and helpful, getting out loads of shoes and helping me make a choice. I found a pair I really liked but they were only in store in fabric, so they ordered the leather version for me. This is where I'm knocking a star off as I thought I would be able to pick them up in store, but I later found that Blacks isn't currently doing click and collect and I'd set up home delivery. This was a bit inconvenient as I didn't want my shoes potentially stolen off my doorstep and so had to stay home to receive them. That said, the delivery process was very smooth and efficient and I was keapt well-informed by the courier (Hermes) when to expect them."
